Eugene Reimer Middle School has just recently started a new innovative school program. Reimer’s unique S.T.E.A.M program integrate the different subjects into inquiry and project based learning. Students are applying Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math into their projects.
We have started with implementing STEAM into are Science and Math subjects. Students in science are starting off by applying their knowledge of electricity and gravity to build DC electric cars and gravity cars. Students go through the engineering design process, which includes: Research, Design, Building and Evaluating. Eugene Reimer Middle School has made a significant investment into a cutting edge STEAM program.
We are challenging our math students with different hands on challenges with Robotics and Engineering. It has been an exciting start and a positive way to challenge our students to be critical thinkers.
This program has been geared towards challenging our students to use their creativity in the areas of Math and Science.
